OUR STORY

We’re Middle Georgia’s Green Movers

In April of 2010, The Green Truck Moving Company was started as the first eco-friendly moving company in Middle Georgia. The Company was committed to keeping Georgia green and building relationships in the Atlanta communities through sustainability efforts and community service. The commitment continues today.

Now known as The Green Truck Moving and Storage, we provide complete residential and commercial moving solutions for Middle Georgia that include box rental and recycling for its customers. We also offer short and long-term storage solutions. Our professional staff is highly reliable, trustworthy, & dedicated to serving our community while minimizing our carbon footprint on mother earth.

Under new ownership, beginning in 2017, our commitment to our Customers, the Community and the environment remains as strong as ever. The new owners, Robin and Tom Schreiber, come to Atlanta from sunny San Diego, California. Coming from a state that focuses a lot on conservation, they wanted to work with a company that shared the same values as they do, and The Green Truck Moving and Storage Company was the perfect fit. Robin and Tom are very family oriented and they hope to bring their family values to the company. They are so excited to be in Atlanta helping this booming city move their stuff, and help the community along the way.

The Green Truck Moving & Storage understands that the moving industry is responsible for a considerable amount of waste distributed across our local environments each day. It is for this reason that our company has implemented eco-friendly practices throughout our entire business model. Our Green Trucks run on B20 fuel, which is a much cleaner form of diesel. We offer reusable moving containers for our customers to rent. After every move, we return to our customer’s home or office to recycle or reuse their cardboard and plastic moving materials. The paper that we use for advertisement and contract purposes is 100% recyclable, to maximize our effort to protect the green earth. We want our customers to know that by choosing The Green Truck Moving & Storage as their preferred mover in Atlanta, they have also contributed to cleaner communities across their local area.

 WE GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

An initiative to give back to the community is essential for our business. We accomplish this by planting two trees after every move, which helps beautify our communities as well as clean up our earth’s atmosphere. The Green Truck Moving & Storage travels to high schools and elementary schools throughout Atlanta to teach students about business and the benefits of living eco-friendly lifestyles. We also understand from personal experience that being a college student typically means you have a lower budget, so we offer a discounted rate to all local undergraduate college students so they too can enjoy a stress-free moving process.
