NASHVILLE, Georgia — In April 2010, The Green Truck Moving & Storage, was started by 3 long time friends and college roommates in effort to provide the area with its first Eco-Friendly Moving Service. Almost 5 years later the company is happy to announce its plans for expansion within several different industries.
TGT Corporation will now serve as the Umbrella Company for multiple business segments offered that will include Moving and Storage, Transportation, Warehousing and Logistics, Waste Management, and Facilities Management. In late 2014, the SBA approved The Green Truck to be a Small business 8(a) participant which helps build small companies into large corporations. The Green Truck (TGT Corporation) is excited to be a participant within this program and plans on using federal contracting opportunities as leverage to grow its new commercial business segments.
In order to support the new expansion, TGT recently moved from its former office located at the Atlanta Business Incubation Center into a 15,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse facility in East Atlanta. In lou of all the growth The Green Truck is experiencing, the company is committed to continuing to build on the outreach it has on the Atlanta Community through sustainability efforts and community service. In 2014, the company worked with several community organizations such as All The Kings Men, Operation Stand down, Aspire, Special Olympics, and Metro Pencil Partners along with planting over 2,500 trees.
In 2015, owners Derrick Moore, Emanuel Reed, and Clinton Gray have committed to having an even stronger impact on the Atlanta area and surrounding counties.
